WHY GO?  For a bolt of bright colour.

Fusing art and pattern and in partnership with Harlequin /Sanderson, the paint company who transform interiors into stylish palettes of colour, this new exhibition is inspiring.

Just what do four modern contemporary artists today make of the whole Abstract Expressionist movement of yesteryear?

This dazzling exhibition shows their modern vision and might well tempt you to invest in one of their artworks for your own walls at home.

Of the four artists, Nick Grindrod’s graphic artworks are ablaze with colour and scream style while Berlin based David Pher’s are dreamily abstract.

Colombian born Dairo Vargas takes more of an Old Master approach with carefully considered brushstrokes and Melissa Herrington paints primarily in subdued pastel shades that are faintly melancholy.

Unanimously all have individual talents to sell and are names to watch.

IN THE KNOW  The cutting edge Maddox gallery has show-cased a whole roster of exciting artists since it opened in 2015 and has a reputation for pioneering gifted new names.
