WHY GO? To focus on nature.  This atmospheric exhibition of landscapes is quite simply breath-taking.

Anyone who has ever visited the Isle of Skye in Scotland will know too well how astonishingly beautiful it is, especially when the mist draws in. The Isle’s full glory has been captured for posterity by one of the world's most famous ‘fashion’ photographers, Albert Watson. Why? Because the celebrated Watson, now an octogenarian, was born in Scotland, and though his career has taken him all over the world, he felt drawn back to his roots and long cherished passion project, to capture the beauty of his beloved Skye.

Full of evocative images inspired by Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, it’s easy to romanticise the magnificence of nature.

“I wanted to create landscapes that were mysterious “, said Watson.

He does more than just capture scenic vistas, he creates a magical feel that enhances their glory.

Watson toured Skye throughout 2013 for five weeks, working around the clock, to create the photographs on show and the project was filmed for the BBC series, ‘What Do Artists Do All Day?’ in 2014 and can still be watched on Youtube .

IN THE KNOW:  Renowned for his distinctive fashion photography, Watson has shot around 100 covers for Vogue, photographed countless celebrities, even royalty, this is his first fine-art-project.

Though blind in one eye since birth, it has never hindered him creatively. He is a living legend in the world of visual arts and photography, so hurry and snap up the chance to see his work before the exhibition closes.
