WHAT? FACELESS by Coco Dávez
WHERE? Maddox Gallery, Westbourne Grove, London W2 5RU
WHEN? 10th - 31st May
WHY GO? To play match the person to the portrait! Spanish artist Coco Dávez shows solo for the first time in London, making a big splash and is hailed as ‘the next best thing’. There’s more than a touch of Hockney behind her bold bright images. It’s a quirky exhibition that reflects her strong abstract style, that has fired the imagination of fashion brands and led to various collaborations with the likes of Chanel, Prada, and Kenzo to name a few - curated together in a new art book if you can’t make the show. All proceeds are going to her chosen charity, Teen Cancer America.
IN THE KNOW Coco’s real name is Valeria Palmeiro. She’s a multi faceted art talent, having worked in various arenas from painting to photography and art direction. She is truly an artist of today’s time, with an Instagram feed that is equally on trend.
